Cold Embrace

I started this painting tonight that's coming along very well so far! It's currently comprised of just two colors, white, and a mixed Grey that was mixed from cadmium red light hue, magenta, and phthalo green. It's an abstract representation of two individuals who are caught in sort of a cold hearted embrace, the kind of embrace that perhaps is inescapable . . . I feel that there are people that we bond with in life that we may not have consciously chosen, and perhaps you cannot consciously part with them, it brings to light a much more complex way of viewing relationships - a view that puts us in far less control than we may be willing to accept.

On a side note, I've been having so much fun lately that I feel like a rest is due . . . I still want to visit the city just as often, only perhaps on more of an educational note . . . galleries, on site painting, networking etc. When work and play become out of balance I start to have issues, and I go through extreme ups and downs . . .
